AllGear Digital’s surf and outdoors media site, The Inertia, has partnered with Visit California, the state’s official tourism organization, to concept, produce, and host a multifaceted media campaign.
Garnering tens-of-millions of views and impressions, the campaign includes custom content, display media, email, social media promotions, and an original video series. The partnership with Visit California was established to celebrate unique experiences only available in the Golden State.
“Power Trip,” the name of the campaign’s video series, features a team of travelers who tackle a bucket list of activities, from surfing and snowboarding to culinary and cultural adventures in downtown L.A. It was produced by The Inertia Studios, a division of AllGear Studios.
“California is a beautiful place that we feel lucky to call home,” said Zach Weisberg, founder of The Inertia. “Our objective with the Visit California campaign was to document compelling members of the community experiencing diverse destinations and weaving a story that inspires viewers to get up and go.”
For the project, The Inertia challenged hosts like Mike Lynch, the Founder of Imperfects, and Un Mar de Colores Executive Director, Mario Ordonez-Calderon, to explore as many regions of California as possible in a two-week span.
“Power Trip” shines a spotlight on the grandeur of both Southern and Northern California. All five episodes can be viewed on Visit California’s dedicated “Power Trip” landing page here.
“We’re grateful to our partners at The Shipyard and Visit California for trusting our vision to capture the road trip experiences,” said Luke House, Director of Branded Content at AllGear Studios. “The Golden State has no shortage of world-class destinations, and we selected an itinerary and team to showcase its magic.”
