iRunFar’s Meghan Hicks Named President of Hardrock Hundred Endurance Run Board of Directors

Meghan Hicks, Editor-in-Chief of AllGear Digital’s premier running publication, iRunFar, has been named President of the Board of Directors for the Hardrock Hundred Endurance Run. Hicks is the first woman to hold this position in the iconic race’s 30-year history.

The Hardrock Hundred Endurance Run is a nonprofit organization overseeing the ultramarathon of the same name, a grueling, technical 102.5-mile loop through Colorado’s San Juan Mountains. As Board President and along with the organization’s hundreds of volunteers, Hicks will help steward the race’s commitment to adventure, perseverance, and community.

“We’re thrilled to see Meghan take a further leadership role in the racing community,” said Sean McCoy, Editorial Director of AllGear Digital. “Meghan has long been an advocate for equity and environmental stewardship in running, and we look forward to watching her positive impact on the Hardrock 100.”

Hicks, who joined iRunFar in 2010 and took over as Editor-in-Chief in 2023, brings a wealth of experience to the role. A respected journalist and accomplished ultrarunner, Hicks has competed in races around the world and finished the Hardrock four times, including a third-place finish in 2021.

“I am honored to serve in this role and to give back to a race that means so much to so many,” says Hicks. “I am especially proud to be the first woman in this role. I am committed to preserving what makes Hardrock special while helping it grow in ways that reflect the evolving values of the broader trail and ultrarunning community.”

Hicks will continue as Editor-in-Chief with iRunFar while leading the Board of Directors for the Hardrock Hundred Endurance Run, which is a volunteer role.
