Senior Sales Executive

AllGear Digital seeks a digital advertising Senior Sales Executive to support its AGD+ extended outdoor-adventure advertising network, which includes owned-and-operated properties like GearJunkie, The Inertia, Bikerumor as well as advertising partners AllTrails (2023-iPhone-App-of-the-Year), and RVshare. The ideal candidate has a robust rolodex of agency and brand contacts that can help us grow our partnerships in outdoor-adjacent categories, specifically: telecom, tech, insurance, financial services, pharmaceutical and/or automotive. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, remote position. Compensation for this role is based on skills, experience and location, and includes base salary and uncapped commission potential.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Sell custom and traditional (not programmatic) digital advertising, including display media, content, video, podcast, giveaways, sponsorships, social media, e-news, live activations, etc., to new clients in target verticals
  • Build a $2M+ dollar book of business in target verticals from the ground up, leveraging own existing brand/agency relationships and prospecting skills
  • Build, propose, and close integrated digital media campaigns across the AGD+ advertising network
  • Own and drive full-cycle sales, from initial outreach to closing the deal
  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key advertisers and media buying agencies resulting in increased RFPs
  • Effectively prepare for, conceptualize and deliver online, phone, and in-person sales presentations
  • Travel to tradeshows, events, and more to network with key industry contacts
  • Properly track all account activity in our CRM
  • Provide excellent customer service and build strong account relationships, resulting in repeat business
  • Forecast revenue from media campaigns

 

Qualifications

  • 6+ years sales experience with at least 3 years focused in digital advertising sales for a publisher
  • Rolodex of brand partner and agency connections that could be immediately leveraged for AllGear Digital
  • A keen ability to see opportunities, understands needs, create solutions, set proper expectations and close deals
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to work across internal departments
  • Strong experience working with PowerPoint and Excel and is experienced using research and marketing to craft and deliver unique proposals/presentations
  • Experience with Salesforce or a comparable CRM
  • Passion for the outdoor lifestyle, industry and brands
