Outdoor Media Ad Sales Executive (Surf and Snow)

AllGear Digital seeks an experienced Outdoor Media Ad Sales Executive (Surf and Snow) to support its network of active-lifestyle and outdoor-adventure media properties including owned-and-operated media properties GearJunkie, TheInertia, Bikerumor, and iRunFar; and media partners including AllTrails. The ideal candidate has a robust rolodex of agency and brand contacts that can help us grow our partnerships in endemic markets, especially Surf and Snow. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, remote position. Compensation for this role is based on skills, experience and location, and includes base salary ($67,300 per year and up) and uncapped commission potential.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Sell custom and traditional (not programmatic) digital advertising, including display media, content, video, podcast, giveaways, sponsorships, social media, e-news, live activations, etc., to new clients in target verticals 
  • Build a $1M+ dollar book of business in target verticals, leveraging own existing brand/agency relationships and prospecting skills
  • Build, propose, and close integrated digital media campaigns across AllGear Digital’s network of media properties
  • Own and drive full-cycle sales, from initial outreach to closing the deal and passing off to Campaign Management
  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key advertisers and media buying agencies resulting in increased RFPs
  • Effectively prepare for, conceptualize and deliver online, phone, and in-person sales presentations
  • Travel to tradeshows, events, and more to network with key industry contacts
  • Properly track all account activity in our CRM
  • Provide excellent customer service and build strong account relationships, resulting in repeat business
  • Forecast revenue from media campaigns

Qualifications

  • 5+ years sales experience with at least 2 years focused in Outdoor Media ad sales
  • Rolodex of brand partner and agency connections that could be immediately leveraged for AllGear Digital
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to work across internal departments
  • Strong experience working with PowerPoint and Excel and is experienced using research and marketing to craft and deliver unique proposals/presentations
  • Experience with Salesforce or a comparable CRM
  • Passion for the outdoor lifestyle, industry and brands
