Digital Advertising Sales Representative (Pack Hacker)

AllGear Digital seeks a Digital Advertising Sales Representative to support its owned-and operated suite of active-lifestyle media properties, with an initial focus on growing the client portfolio for the brand Pack Hacker. The ideal candidate has experience in the digital advertising ecosystem, is an enthusiastic prospector, and is a self-starter by nature. This is a full-time position ideally located in the Detroit, MI, metro area (but we will consider remote candidates as well). Compensation is determined based on skills and experience, starting at $55,000 per year plus commission.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Sell traditional and custom digital advertising (display media, e-newsletters, written & video content, sponsorships, giveaways, social media, etc.) on PackHacker.com and affiliated channels
  • Create and manage your client list of potential brand partners; prospect for new clients and verticals
  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key advertisers and media buying agencies
  • Own and drive full cycle sales from initial outreach to closing the deal and passing off to Campaign Management
  • Converse with clients to determine upcoming campaigns, KPIs, timing, and budget
  • Build & deliver integrated digital media proposals, and close deals for Pack Hacker
  • Effectively organize, prioritize, and manage multiple advertising requests in a deadline-driven environment
  • Create (or aid in the creation of) any needed sales materials
  • Effectively prepare for, conceptualize and deliver online, phone, and in-person sales presentations
  • Travel to tradeshows, events, and more to network with key industry contacts
  • Properly track all account activity in our CRM

Qualifications

  • 3 years sales experience with at least 1 year focused in digital advertising sales (publisher direct sales experience preferred, agency experience considered)
  • Demonstrated understanding of digital advertising and marketing, especially publisher direct advertising
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • A keen ability to see opportunities, understands needs, create solutions, set proper expectations and close deals
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders
  • High emotional intelligence, including self-management
  • Experience with Salesforce or a comparable CRM
  • Experience creating compelling, research-based pitches using presentation software (e.g. Canva, PowerPoint, etc.)
