The digital publication, founded in 2010, features world-class reporting, original films, product reviews, courses, and events for surf and outdoor enthusiasts.
Founded by Zach Weisberg, a surfer and entrepreneur based in Los Angeles, The Inertia has grown to become a household media brand in its category. The site reaches millions of readers and features contributions from luminaries including Kelly Slater, Laird Hamilton, Gerry Lopez, and many others.

The Inertia joins a group of media brands including GearJunkie, Switchback Travel, Bikerumor, ExplorersWeb, iRunFar, and more. In total, the network reaches more than 60 million readers.

Mark Sawyer-Chu will continue to lead sales as SVP of Partnerships of The Inertia, along with moving into a Sales Director role for the wider AllGear Digital portfolio.
